MadHour project was born in 2009 from an idea of ex Longobardeath bass player Ul Teo, who was thinking for several years to start an Heavy Metal band with female vocals, finding in Laura the right person behind the microphone. Ul Teo added to the band long time friends Vik on rhythm guitar, Mike on drums (with whom Ul Teo already played in various bands during the 90s, also featuring the cult epic metal band Warhammer, and actually also drummer for Tethra, Vexed and Sidhe) and Paul on lead guitar.
From the very first rehearsals, the band started to work on unedited songs, adding a lot of cover to its repertoire. In the first 2 years of life, the band preferred to concentrate on live activity, playing in important Italian underground festival like Johnny’s Fest, Female & Fuel Fest, Rock Inn Somma and many of the most important concert venue in the north of Italy.
In January 2012 the band recorded in just 2 days the debut demo “The Beginning Of Disaster”, out in March of the same year.
During the summer of 2012, Vik decided to leave the band, being immediately replaced by young guitarist Sarah.
After a 2013 spent playing everywhere and every time was possible (among the gigs, a concert in Renchen, Germany), the band entered Mat Stancioiu’s Elnor Studio (Mat was the ex drummer of Italian power veterans Labyrinth, among other bands) to record the debut album, entitled “Ghost Town”, officially released the 20th of July 2014 by DeathStorm Records.
